أزمات غذائية مفجعه ببلدان النزاع

تقرير أممي يعلن. 155 مليون شخص واجهوا انعدام الأمن الغذائي الحاد في عام 2020 – اليمن وأفغانستان وسوريا من بين أسوأ 10 أزمات غذائية.
بلغ عدد الأشخاص الذين يواجهون انعدامًا حادًا في الأمن الغذائي ويحتاجون إلى مساعدات عاجلة منقذة للحياة وللحفاظ على سبل كسب العيش، أعلى مستوى له في خمس سنوات في عام 2020 في البلدان التي تعاني من أزمات غذائية، هذا ما توصل إليه تقرير سنوي أطلقته اليوم الشبكة العالمية لمكافحة الأزمات الغذائية.
وقد دفعت النزاعات والصدمات الاقتصادية – ومن بينها جائحة فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19) والظواهر الجوية القاسية – بما لا يقل عن 155 مليون شخص نحو المعاناة من انعدام الأمن الغذائي الحاد في عام 2020.
ووفقا للتقرير، ظلت البلدان في أفريقيا متأثرة بشكل غير متناسب بانعدام الأمن الغذائي الحاد. وكان ما يقرب من 98 مليون شخص يواجهون انعدام الأمن الغذائي الحاد في عام 2020 – أو اثنان من كل ثلاثة – يعيشون في القارة الأفريقية. ولكن لم تسلم أجزاء أخرى من العالم من ذلك، حيث جاءت بلدان مثل اليمن وأفغانستان وسوريا وهايتي من بين أسوأ عشر أزمات غذائية تم تسجيلها العام الماضي.

A UN report announces. 155 million people faced acute food insecurity in 2020 – Yemen, Afghanistan and Syria are among the 10 worst food crises.
The number of people facing acute food insecurity and in need of urgent life-saving assistance and to maintain livelihoods has reached its highest level in five years in 2020 in countries experiencing food crises, this is the conclusion of an annual report launched today by the Global Network to Combat Food crises.
Conflict and economic shocks – including the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and extreme weather events – have pushed at least 155 million people into acute food insecurity in 2020.
According to the report, countries in Africa continued to be disproportionately affected by severe food insecurity. Nearly 98 million people facing acute food insecurity in 2020 – or two out of every three – were living on the African continent. But other parts of the world have not escaped this, with countries such as Yemen, Afghanistan, Syria and Haiti among the ten worst food crises recorded last year.
