أمين عام البرلمان الدولي خلال افتتاح القمة البرلمانية العالمية الأولى لمكافحة الإرهاب:
المباحثات المكثفة مع “العسومي” أثمرت عن شراكة استراتيجية مؤسسية بين الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي والبرلمان العربي
خلال افتتاح أعمال القمة البرلمانية العالمية الأولى لمكافحة الإرهاب بفيينا، وفي كلمته بحفل الافتتاح، أكد السيد مارتن شونجونج الأمين العام للاتحاد البرلماني الدولي أن المباحثات المكثفة التي أجراها صاحب المعالي السيد عادل بن عبدالرحمن العسومي رئيس البرلمان العربي، خلال الفترة الأخيرة مع قيادات الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي، اثمرت عن شراكة إستراتيجية مؤسسية بين الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي والبرلمان العربي في العديد من المجالات والقضايا التي تهم الشعوب العربية.
وقد شارك رئيس البرلمان العربي في افتتاح أعمال هذه القمة العالمية الأولى من نوعها، التي شارك أيضا في افتتاح أعمالها، كبار القادة في الاتحاد البرلماني الدولي والأمم المتحدة وعدد كبير من رؤساء المنظمات البرلمانية الاقليمية والدولية، ورؤساء عدد من البرلمانات والمؤسسات الوطنية.
هذا، ومن المقرر أن تعتمد هذه القمة وثيقة البرلمان العربي بشأن مكافحة الإرهاب في منطقة الساحل الأفريقي.كما ستشهد القمة إطلاق التطبيق الإلكتروني المعني بمكافحة الإرهاب، والذي شارك البرلمان العربي في تعريبه، لتعظيم الاستفادة منه على المستوى العربي.

The Secretary-General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union through the opening of the First Global Parliamentary Summit on Coun-tering Terrorism:
The extensive discussions with ALASOOMI have resulted in a strategic and institutional partnership between the IPU and the AP
During the opening of the First Global Parliamentary Summit on Countering Terrorism in the Austrian capital Vienna, and in his address to the opening ceremony, H.E. Dr. Martin Chun-gong the IPU Secretary-General emphasized that the extensive recent discussions conducted by Hon. Mr. Adel Bin Ab-dulRahman AlAsoomi President of the Arab Parliament (AP) with the leadership of the IPU resulted in a strategic and insti-tutional partnership between the IPU and the AP in many areas and issues of concern to Arab peoples.
The President of the AP participated in the First Global Parlia-mentary Summit on Countering Terrorism, in which also partic-ipated senior leaders in the IPU and the UN, a significant num-ber of heads of regional and international parliamentary organ-izations and heads of a number of national parliaments and in-stitutions.
The Summit is due to adopt the AP’s Document on Countering-Terrorism in the Sahel Region of Africa; the Summit will also launch the Mobile Application for Parliamentarians on countering-terrorism which the AP has participated in its Arabization to maximize its use at the Arab leve
