Prime Minister Naftali Bennett at a memorial service for the dead in Eitan
The report of Dr. Nassim Salah Zaki, the ambassador of world peace
** This is how Israel is the kingdom of allegations and lies……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
“Dear, bereaved and beloved family members, all respectful. Sixty-eight IDF victims in Operation Eitan. Sixty-eight life stories, sixty-eight dreams that will never come true anymore, sixty-eight fathers, sons, husbands, siblings, and grandchildren—who went without them again.
Reserve Sergeant Nadav Goldmacher remembered Grace, and he was one of them. After he fell, his parents found a page on which Nadav wrote about “Ten Values That Lead Me”. Among other things, he wrote: “…do not judge a person, to help those for whom it is difficult, to set a goal and reach it … love of the homeland, love of life.”
I think a lot about Nadav and his friends. I think about what they were. about what they were supposed to be. For the love of their homeland that has also risen in price for the love of life.
Operation Resilient Cliff was a campaign by a state that protected the lives of its citizens. Hundreds of Hamas terrorists planned to attack the State of Israel almost immediately, through terrorist tunnels dug under settlements, civilian homes and kindergartens.
It was about protecting our sovereignty and being here. My friends, my fathers and my mothers, it is important for me to know – your sons, in their death, saved many lives. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Literally. It was a matter of days. At that time, we had no fences or excavations. Your fallen sons saved their lives.
Almost seven years have passed – the war for our existence continues, and our enemies continue, even today, to deny our very existence as a Jewish state in the Land of Israel.
But violence and terrorism are not phenomena or natural predestination that the State of Israel is supposed to bear. In the Gaza Strip, on the other side of the border, they will have to get used to a different Israeli concept of initiative. of attacks. of innovation.
Our position is clear:
Our competition is not with the people of Gaza. There is no intent to harm those who do not rise up against us to kill us, nor do we hate those who are held hostage by a cruel and violent terrorist organization. The same people sometimes act as a human shield targeting killing machines.
But at the same time, our enemies will know the rules: we will not tolerate violence, we will not tolerate drops, we will not understand or contain the rebels.
Our patience is running out.
The residents of the Gaza Strip are not second-class citizens. Those who live in Sderot, Ashkelon, Kfar Azza or Alumim are entitled to live in peace and security, like all citizens of the State of Israel.
We celebrate seven years since Operation Eitan. The seven years that Hamas terrorists have held the IDF victims, Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul in their memory, is seven too many.
I know you’ve heard a lot of promises and statements over the years. Families have known many disappointments and disappointments. Now, this is our transformation, this is our commitment. We were there when we sent the boys inside and we are here to continue the commitment. We will act resolutely until we say: “There is a wage for your work, and there is hope in your responsibility … And the sons are back to their limits.”
We will work to fulfill this sacred mission.
Distinguished guests, this is the first time that I am standing here, in the State Memorial Hall, as Prime Minister of Israel. I do this in reverence. Here, in the mausoleum, all those who fell under the Israeli regimes are commemorated. Here, the names of all our loved ones and comrades in arms who fell in defense of the homeland were engraved on the stones. We knew them, we loved them, we miss them.
These are warriors who came from all over the country. From Kiryat Shmona and Tel Aviv, from Ofra and Harfish, from Rahat, from Beit Alfa and from Jerusalem. Those in the right positions, those in the left positions. Secular, religious and hardliners. Jews, non-Jews, veterans and immigrants. They did not distinguish between opinions and perceptions, between currents and ideologies. They fought for a common goal – for the security of the State of Israel and the people of Israel. together.
Today, more than ever, we are required to strengthen the threads of fabric that bind us all together as one nation. In our actions we prove to the younger generation that we can work together. Without difference being deterred, it’s OK, we have different opinions, it’s OK. Without hating the gaps between us, we celebrate them. Unity is the key word. The unit is the order of the hour.
I believe in the power of unity as the foundation of our strength, in true evil, like our warriors on the battlefield, and in their ability to help us weather crises at home and abroad. We will always remember that the common goal, the good of the State of Israel – above any narrow sectoral interest. This is our kingdom.
“This is the good and the pleasure of the sister tribe together.”
Blessed be the memory of the martyrs, and preserved in our hearts forever.
