الأمم المتحدة تشيد “بتنازلات مهمة” قدمتها الأطراف مع انطلاق محادثات السلام(السودان )

رحب الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة بانطلاق محادثات السلام اليوم بين حكومة السودان والحركة الشعبية لتحرير السودان/شمال – جناح عبد العزيز الحلو، بوساطة جنوب السودان، في العاصمة جوبا.
وفي بيان منسوب للمتحدث باسمه، حثّ الأمين العام، السيّد أنطونيو غوتيريش، جميع أصحاب المصلحة على إظهار حسن النية والتصميم على تحقيق سلام شامل يصب في مصلحة السودان والشعب السوداني.
وجدد الأمين العام التأكيد على أهمية تمثيل المرأة ومشاركتها على جميع مستويات عملية السلام.
الأمم المتحدة ترافق السودان في هذه الخطوة
وفي كلمته التي ألقاها في افتتاح محادثات السلام، قال الممثل الخاص للأمين العام، فولكير بيرتس، إن صنع السلام غالبا ما يكون أصعب من البديل، “لكنكم اليوم قررتم اتخاذ الخطوة الأولى ونحن، الأمم المتحدة والمجتمع الدولي، تسعدنا مرافقتكم على طول الطريق نحو السلام”.
وأكد بيرتس على التزام بعثة الأمم المتحدة لدعم المرحلة الانتقالية في السودان (يونيتامس) بتيسير ودعم عملية السلام “بما يتوافق مع تفويض البعثة “وبالتضافر مع شركاء آخرين ومضيفينا ووسطائنا في السودان”. وشدد على تقديم البعثة والأمم المتحدة المساعدة في تنفيذ الاتفاق عند التوصل إليه.The United Nations praises “important concessions” made by the parties at the start of peace talks (Sudan)

The Secretary-General of the United Nations welcomed the launch of peace talks today between the Government of Sudan and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement / North-Wing Abdul Aziz Al-Hilu, mediated by South Sudan, in the capital, Juba.
In a statement attributed to his spokesperson, the Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres, urged all stakeholders to demonstrate goodwill and determination to achieve a comprehensive peace that is in the interest of Sudan and the Sudanese people.
The Secretary-General reaffirmed the importance of women’s representation and participation at all levels of the peace process.
The United Nations is accompanying Sudan in this step
In his speech at the opening of the peace talks, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Volker Peretz, said that making peace is often more difficult than the alternative, “but today you have decided to take the first step and we, the United Nations and the international community, are pleased to accompany you along the road to peace.” .
Peretz stressed the commitment of the United Nations Mission to Support the Transition in Sudan (UNITAMS) to facilitate and support the peace process “in line with the mission’s mandate” and in collaboration with other partners, our hosts and our mediators in Sudan. “
