خمس دول أعضاء تنضم إلى العضوية غير الدائمة لمجلس الأمن ابتداء من الأول من كانون الثاني/يناير المقبل.
انتخبت الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، اليوم الجمعة، كل من ألبانيا والبرازيل وغابون وغانا والإمارات العربية المتحدة لتنضم إلى عضوية مجلس الأمن الدولي غير الدائمة، لمدة عامين تبدأ في 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2022.
وسيحل الأعضاء الجدد غير الدائمين محل إستونيا والنيجر وسانت فنسنت وجزر غرينادين وتونس وفييت نام.
وأعلن رئيس الجمعية العامة، فولكان بوزكير، نتيجة التصويت كالتالي:
“بعد حصولها على أغلبية الثلثين المطلوبة وعلى أكبر عدد من الأصوات، تم انتخاب ألبانيا والبرازيل وغابون وغانا والإمارات العربية المتحدة أعضاء في مجلس الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة لمدة عامين تبدأ في الأول كانون الثاني/ يناير 2022. أهنئ هذه الدول التي تم انتخابها للتو بالأغلبية في مجلس الأمن”.Albania, Brazil, Gabon, Ghana and the United Arab Emirates are members of the Security Council.

Five member states will join the non-permanent membership of the Security Council, starting from the first of next January.
Today, Friday, the United Nations General Assembly elected Albania, Brazil, Gabon, Ghana and the United Arab Emirates to join the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member for a two-year term beginning on January 1, 2022.
The new non-permanent members will replace Estonia, Niger, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Tunisia and Viet Nam.
The President of the General Assembly, Volkan Bozkir, announced the result of the vote as follows:
After obtaining the required two-thirds majority and the largest number of votes, Albania, Brazil, Gabon, Ghana and the United Arab Emirates were elected members of the United Nations Security Council for a two-year term beginning on January 1, 2022. I congratulate these countries that have just been elected by a majority in the Council Security”.
